Join Peace Winds in Supporting Refugees on World Refugee Day

June 20 is World Refugee Day, and the world is currently facing the largest refugee crisis in history.  Conflict and climate change has forced over 65 million refugees to flee their homes.  This crisis is putting demands on countries who are already struggling with their own populations.

The crisis in Syria has forced hundreds of thousands of Syrian families to flee, many to neighboring Iraq.  Peace Winds is assisting families in camps by providing shelter, food, and schooling.  Peace Winds is constructing housing with the added benefit of employing and training refugees in construction.

Peace Winds is providing prefabricated shelters to house families, affording more stability and safety.  Employing the refugees in building and construction will provide training and income sorely needed by the refugee communities.  Peace Winds distributes food kits so families can spend their funds on medicine and healthcare.  Peace Winds will continue ensuring refugee children have access to schooling.
