Peace Winds receives certificate from Iraq Government
Our sister organization, Peace Winds Japan, was recently honored a certificate of appreciation by the Board of Relief and Humanities Affairs in Iraq. This honor truly demonstrates the hard work of Peace Winds Japan and holds in high esteem the efforts and work they are doing to improve the lives of people in the area.
Peace Winds began support activities in Iraq in 1996, providing assistance in education, water and sanitation, healthcare, infrastructure, and shelter construction. Peace Winds continues to aid these projects and assists refugees and internally displaced people affected by the conflict in Syria. Peace Winds remains dedicated to serving the local population and refugees, working closely with local NGOs to asses and meet their needs.
