Support for Ukraine

Timeframe: 2022-Present

When Russian military forces launched operations against Ukraine on February 24, 2022, Peace Winds immediately dispatched a team of aid responders. Staff set up a base in neighboring Moldova where they provided food, hygiene supplies, and other emergency items at evacuation centers. Peace Winds doctors, nurses, and other responders also collaborated with partner organizations to operate field clinics and distribute medical supplies.

As the war continues, Peace Winds is supporting Ukrainians spending prolonged periods in evacuation centers. Programs encompass psychosocial support, medical equipment for hospitals, and distribution of food and daily necessities.
