Helping Kentucky Rebuild After Deadly Tornadoes

Timeframe: 2021-2022

In December 2021, parts of the South and Midwest United States were devastated by a series of deadly tornadoes. Peace Winds responded by partnering with the local chapter of the Red Cross to provide approximately $50,000 in direct aid to support the process of rebuilding. These funds were distributed to more than 1,500 families, helping them replace furniture and other items destroyed by the tornadoes, secure new housing, and pay for other necessities. Peace Winds’ generous donors have helped survivors repair and rebuild their homes and have been instrumental in the recovery needs of communities affected by the December 2021 tornado outbreak.
