Join Peace Winds’ New Project of the Month Club and Help Us Make a Difference Around the World
When a person’s life is upended by disaster or crisis, Peace Winds is there to deliver medical care, set up evacuation shelters, or provide a warm meal. When it seems like the news cycle has moved on, our teams stay focused on helping communities rebuild. They support those who have lost their livelihoods as they get back on their feet, ensure access to essentials like clean water, or organize programs for trauma-focused psychosocial care.
The kindness of donors like you is what makes this possible. That’s why we’re launching a “Project of the Month Club” that directs monthly, recurring donations to a different Peace Winds response each month. Every crisis is different, and we don’t know where the next disaster will strike. But this will help us stay ready to deliver immediate, flexible support.
Please consider signing up for our Project of the Month Club to make sure that your donation goes where they’re needed most each month. We’ll keep you in the loop about how you’re making a difference and share stories from real people you’ve impacted.
This month, your donations will help us deliver emergency relief to displaced families in Lebanon as war rages on in the Middle East.
“The first night after evacuating, we had nowhere to go, so we huddled together on the beach,” says Maria, one evacuee. “We were filled with fear and anxiety, believing that tomorrow would be safer.”
Maria, a wife, mother, and grandmother, was forced to flee her home with her family of seven. More than 1 million others like her are now displaced in Lebanon as airstrikes and violence on the ground show no sign of letting up.
Maria’s family is now staying in an evacuation shelter, but many others have no choice but to sleep outdoors. The need for emergency supplies continues to grow.
“We had no choice but to leave all our clothes and other personal belongings behind,” Maria says.
Peace Winds is working with local partners to coordinate emergency supplies distribution for families like Maria’s. We have provided items like blankets and clothing for some 500 people sheltering outside of Beirut, and your donations will help us keep this momentum going.
