Every Second Counts: How Peace Winds’ ARROWS Disaster Response Team Saves Lives

New Year’s Day marked two years since a 7.6 magnitude earthquake devastated Japan’s Noto Peninsula. Dr. Inaba Mototaka, founding leader of Peace Winds’ ARROWS airborne search and medical team, was among the first to respond. In this 30 minute NHK World Japan documentary, Dr. Inaba discusses how the team works together with government agencies, other NGOs, and the private sector to respond quickly and save as many lives as possible when disaster strikes.
In addition to deploying for disasters throughout Japan and internationally, team members run regular preparedness programs for citizens and other response professionals around the country. Your support helps us stay prepared, deliver immediate relief, and commit to long-term recovery for those who need it most.
