Dr. Inaba responds to New Year’s Day earthquake on Japan’s Noto Peninsula

Dr. Inaba Mototaka, leader of Peace Winds’ ARROWS airborne search and medical team, was among the first to respond to the 2024 New Year’s Day earthquake on Japan’s Noto Peninsula. In addition to delivering life-saving emergency medical care, Dr. Inaba aims to improve coordination between governments, NGOs, and the private sector for a more effective disaster response. He spoke to NHK World Japan as part of the series “Direct Talk,” which aired on June 17 and 18, 2024.
