September Civil-Military Disaster Preparedness Forum Announced
The Japan-U.S.-South Korea Civil-Military Initiative:
Senior Policy Forum
September, 2012 | Washington, D.C.
Peace Winds America is pleased to announce the next event in its ongoing Civil-Military Disaster Preparedness Initiative, the senior policy forum to be held in September in Washington, D.C. This forum will be followed by the dissemination of reports and findings, as well as the announcement of the next stage of the Initiative.
Following on the previous Initiative events – disaster preparedness workshops in September and June and forums in May, 2011 and February – this coming forum consolidates and codifies progress made in the Initiative to date, presents major findings for the final reports and discusses the next steps of PWA’s civil-military programs. Drawing on Peace Winds America’s robust array of experts, policy-makers and disaster managers from government agencies, militaries, NGOs and the private sector in the U.S. and Japan, this coming forum will well position PWA to report Initiative outcomes and envision the next stages in the project.
Details on the date and venue will be posted shortly.
