September 27-29, 2011 | U.S. Embassy, Tokyo

Building on the success of the 2010 Disaster Assistance Workshop and 2011 First Forum, Peace Winds America is pleased to announce the Japan-U.S.-South Korea Civil-Military Initiative Disaster Preparedness Workshop: Policies, Procedures and Partners. Focusing on the critical areas of pre-deployment, host and donor nation considerations, multilateral coordination, HA/DR policies, and disaster risk reduction programs, the workshop will provide disaster managers a hands-on, collaborative venue in which to network with colleagues and experts in the field. The Workshop will additionally devote significant time to discussions, after-action reports and lessons learned from the Great East Japan Earthquake and the U.S. Military response, Operation Tomodachi. This unique opportunity will be held in English and Japanese.
